The rustic, country chic look has taken over wedding decor, and it is taking a new direction: specifically to the West!  Western chic is like country chic and shabby chic but with more flair and laid back style.

Venues that fit well within the theme are simple and small country churches, outdoor spaces that overlook large expanses of fields and land, and barns are becoming more popular spaces that can double as both a ceremony and a reception location with turnover during cocktail hour.

Food for the cocktail hour and reception follows the farm-to-table, alfresco trend with seating at long tables that resembles a relaxed family get-together.

Fashion for the bride and bridesmaids includes lots of lace and pearls.  Groom and groomsmen can be fashionable too with a vest, button up shirt, bow-tie, and no jacket.  Recently also showing up are cowboys boots on all members of the bridal party, if so desired for an overall “completed” western look!

Small accents make the theme.  A few ideas include burlap, leather, rope, horseshoes, lace, cowboy boots and hats, animal antlers, etc. that are incorporated into the centerpieces, flower arrangements, table settings, and overall decor.
